About

What is the Migrant Guide?

This Guide emerges as a concrete and innovative implementation of the Local Integration Plan (LIP):

  • it translates the findings of the LIP into a readily deployable field tool;
  • it promotes the network of associations and institutions identified in the diagnosis;
  • it creates a system of facilitated access to local resources;
  • it consolidates the regional coherence of integration policies through a common visual identity and charter.

What can be found on the site?

A tool grounded in local realities

Each user is redirected to operators in their local area.

French, English, Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Ukrainian, Russian, Albanian, Spanish, Mandarin, Somali, Turkish, and Kurdish.

How to join the project?

We invite you to join the project by entering your information in the appropriate thematic section, so that everyone can discover your organization directly according to their needs.

Each partner organization of the project will receive a “Migrant friendly” visual (renewable each year) to reaffirm the necessity, in terms of public policy, of guaranteeing equal access to rights and services. This will be accompanied by the signing of a charter (attached) reflecting adherence to the values underpinning this project.

A Walloon platform dedicated to integration

The Migrant Guide is a digital Walloon information platform for foreign nationals arriving in Belgium, bringing together all operators from the different territories covered by the Regional Integration Centres.

The goal is to gather, in one place, all those who, through their actions, foster the social, economic, political, and cultural participation of foreign nationals and, thus, facilitate their arrival in their new municipality.

The Federation of Regional Integration Centres

The Federation of Regional Integration Centres works towards building an inclusive society where integration is conceived as a dynamic process involving society as a whole. Its aims are, on the one hand, to ensure the social, economic, cultural, and political integration of foreign nationals as well as the expression and valorization of their contributions to the development of Wallonia and, on the other hand, the establishment of a secure, solidary, intercultural, and democratic ‘living together’.

The Federation of Regional Integration Centres is both:

  • a structure for consultation, definition, and representation of the trans-regional action of the CRIs;
  • a support service for the CRIs as well as for field organizations working in the integration sector.

Our missions

To be the place for definition, coordination, decision-making, operationalization, and representation of the positions and joint initiatives of the Regional Integration Centres.

To provide pedagogical, methodological, analytical, training, and communication support to the Regional Integration Centres in order to contribute to their consultation, visibility, and legitimacy, as well as to the expertise and relevance of their practices, analyses, proposals, and recommendations.

Our activities

The association’s activities notably focus on the following content:

  • creation of pedagogical tools;
  • creation of training content;
  • delivery of training modules;
  • creation and dissemination of IT tools;
  • pedagogical advice;
  • legal advice;
  • strategic advice;
  • production of analyses and research;
  • management and deployment of projects on behalf of the Walloon Region and/or the Regional Integration Centres;

Partnerships and collaborations
